An industrial computer without a fan is provided. The industrial computer comprises an aluminum case including a plurality of top fins projected toward a vertical direction and a plurality of side fins projected toward a horizontal direction; a motherboard including a plurality of heat-generating members such as CPU and north-bridge chipset formed thereon; and a radiating member having a top in contact with an inner surface of the case and a bottom rested upon the heat-generating members.
A shock-avoiding structure for hard disk having four threaded apertures in four corners is disclosed. The device comprises a plurality of fasteners each having a first portion driven into the aperture and a second portion projected from the hard disk; a parallelepiped chassis in a computer case for receiving the hard disk, the chassis including a plurality of recesses on either side; and a plurality of elongated shock absorbing members formed of elastomeric material, each having a first section end urged against the second portion of the fastener, a second section projected from the side of the chassis, and an intermediate, annular groove anchored on the recess for suspending the hard disk in the chassis. An assembly order of the fasteners and the shock absorbing members is not critical in a manufacturing process, thus significantly increasing yield. The hard disk can also be configured as a removable one.
A shock absorbing mechanism for the hard disk is provided. The mechanism comprises a hard disk frame including, at either side, two first holes, two second holes, and two first apertures; two side brackets each including, at an outer side, two slots and two second apertures; two pairs of barbell shaped pads, each pad including two end enlargements and an intermediate neck disposed in the slot; two elongate, inner positioning members each including two end stop members for fastening the inner enlargements, and two third apertures; and two elongate, outer positioning member each including two end positioning members for fastening the outer enlargements in the second hole, and two fourth apertures. The outer positioning members, the frame, the brackets, the inner positioning members, and the hard disk are threadedly secured together.
