A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a scan section for executing a navigator sequence which transmits an RF pulse to a subject to obtain each magnetic resonance signal as navigator data. Upon execution of the navigator sequence, the scan section excites both a navigator area having two regions from which intensities of different navigator data signals are obtained, said two regions containing a body-moved region of the subject, and a region different from the two regions simultaneously, and transmits the RF pulse in such a manner that the phase of navigator data obtained from the different region differs from the phase of at least one region of navigator data obtained from the two regions.
An ultrasonic image display method for displaying a composite image made from a B mode image and a tissue velocity image of an object taken by means of ultrasound. The method includes decreasing the weight of the B mode image while increasing the weight of the tissue velocity image, in response to increase of brightness of the B mode image, adding thus weighted B mode image and tissue velocity image, and displaying an image obtained by the addition.
An X-ray irradiating apparatus includes an X-ray tube attached to a front end of a column suspended from a carriage, the carriage being displaceable along a rail parallel to a ceiling. The X-ray irradiating apparatus includes a power supply cable fixed at one end thereof to the carriage, a guide mechanism for guiding the cable along the rail upon displacement of the carriage, and a reaction force mechanism for applying to the carriage a reaction force which withstands a tension induced by slackening of the cable outside the guide mechanism.
The present invention aims to provide an RF coil assembly capable of eliminating the need for connecting and disconnecting an electric path at decoupling portions and is an RF coil assembly including: a plurality of coil loops that are adjacent to each other in sequence and construct a phased array; and a plurality of decoupling device that cancel electromagnetic coupling between adjacent coil loops, respectively, wherein at least two of the plurality of coil loops are two coil loops that are adjacent to each other across a boundary where they can be decoupled from each other, and wherein at least one of the plurality of decoupling device is two coils that are connected in series to the two coil loops, respectively, and are opposed to each other across the boundary and form a pair of coils for decoupling.
An X-ray CT apparatus enables decreasing the degradation of image quality and reducing futile exposure to X-ray in a helical shuttle scan. The X-ray CT apparatus comprises: a gantry rotating device having an X-ray generator for generating the X-ray and an X-ray detector for detecting the generated X-ray and transmitted through a subject; a gantry controller for performing the helical shuttle scan by reciprocally moving the gantry rotating device and the cradle; a scan condition setting device for setting the scan condition of the helical shuttle scan in a predetermined range in the direction of body axis of the subject; an X-ray projection data acquisition device for acquiring the X-ray projection data; a scan controller for controlling the scan as specified in the scan condition; and a image reconstruction device for performing the image reconstruction processing based on the X-ray projection data.
