A grinding device for the flats of a card comprises elastically bendable elements which enter between the clothing points, brush over the side flanks of the points and thereby grind the points. Additional grinding elements are provided in order to treat the front sides of the clothing points. The ground-off material may be removed by a suction device.
The present invention relates to a method or device for removing dust, waste and short fibres in the removal zone of a carder or carding machine, having a stripper roller or doffer, a doffing cylinder, an upper and a lower press roller, and a transverse conveyor belt. A solution according to the present invention provides at least one of the following means: means, for example a compressed air device, for generating a preset air flow in the region between the stripper roller, the doffing cylinders and the press rollers; an exhaust device for the area of the lower stripper and the lower press roller; an exhaust device for the area above the upper mote knife.
The present invention relates to the application of fiber length measurement in the blowroom or carding room of a spinning mill. A method and an apparatus in a textile processing machine are described in which before and/or after a working element of the textile processing machine the nep count and/or the fiber length (staple) is determined, with an open-loop/closed-loop control unit being provided which receives the values for the fiber length and/or the nep count as input and determines therefrom the optimized machine setting data and outputs the same to at least one actuator of a working element which influences the nep count and/or the staple of the textile processing machine.
A card is equipped with a regulating drafting system at the card delivery arrangement. The measuring values for regulating the drafting system are obtained from the drafted fibre sliver. The sliver depositing device can be pre-controlled relative to the drafting system in order to keep the stresses in the fibre sliver between the drafting system and the sliver depositing device within limits. A fibre sliver storage device (11) is arranged upstream from the regulating drafting system (13) with relatively small capacity. In order to enable timely action if long term deviations are detected in the fibre sliver mass (m) delivered, a sensor (10) can be arranged between the card (1) and the regulating drafting system (13), and the base rotational speed (U14) of the drive (25, 26) of the regulating drafting system (13) can be adapted based on signals transmitted by the sensor (10).
A device for grinding clothing teeth and wire, or for cleaning cylinders, in a textile machine includes a grinding part having an elastic layer and grinding elements embedded throughout the elastic layer. The elastic layer is formed into a shape for being pressed against the clothing teeth, wire, or cylinder of the textile machine, and is formed of a material such that the elastic layer is worn by the clothing teeth, wire, or cylinder. In this way, the underlying embedded grinding elements are exposed.
