The delivery of data broadcast over a unidirectional communication data link is targeted at receivers having an environment exhibiting a specific characteristic by labelling the data prior to transmission with a status indicator that defines the characteristic that the local environment of the receiver (17) must possess as a precondition for receiving the data. Typical types of characteristics envisaged are the location of the receiver and the climatic condition of the receiver.
A processing circuit executes a data producing process and a data consuming process. The data producing process produces a stream of data, the data consuming process consumes the stream of data concurrently with production of the stream. A first-in first-out buffer passes data from the stream between the data producing process and the data consuming process. The buffer comprises buffer memory, the buffer writes data-items from the stream in circular fashion into the buffer memory. A consuming process interface is arranged to process a command for making a data grain from the stream available to the data consuming process. The interface responds to the command by testing whether addresses of data within the grain to which access has to be gained wrap around in the circular FIFO buffer. The interface copies the grain from the FIFO buffer to the auxiliary memory region, on condition that the addresses wrap around, so that the wrap around is eliminated in the copied grain, The interface returns an indication to the consuming process to read the grain from the FIFO buffer when the addresses do not wrap around inside the grain, or an indication to read from the auxiliary memory region, when the addresses wrap around.
A duplexer (1) with two band-pass filters (5, 6) comprising film bulk acoustic wave resonators (FBAR) (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) has an extra antiresonant circuit in order to block the transmission signal. It has an extra resonant circuit in order to allow the desired receive signal to pass. The antiresonant circuit comprises the first FBAR (11) and a parallel inductor (14). The resonant circuit comprises the first FBAR (11) and a series inductor (7).
A bus communication system contains a pair of communication conductors and a driver. The driver contains a plurality of pairs of controlled current source circuit, each pair comprising current source circuits of a first and second, mutually opposite polarity, and a control circuit for matching currents drawn by the current sources in each pair. The current source circuit of the first polarity have outputs coupled to a first one of the communication conductors, the current source circuits of the second polarity have outputs coupled to a second one of the communication conductors. A delay line is provided, with taps coupled to control inputs of the current sources of the first and second polarity, so that the pairs are switched on successively with mutual delays between successive pairs, as determined by the delay line.
