An assembly for conveying glass sheets on machines for working sheets, comprising an assembly for feeding the sheets to be worked, which engages the longitudinal edges of the sheets and is arranged upstream of a frame for supporting at least one working head, and an assembly for removing the sheets, which engages the edges of the sheets and is arranged downstream of the frame for supporting a working head.

A sheet locking assembly is provided that is constituted by an upper pressing surface and a lower pressing surface, the lower pressing surface being disengaged from the lower working head.

A method for loading and cutting glass sheets on cutting tables, comprising providing, by means of a scoring head, scoring lines on a sheet of glass; extracting, during scoring, the sucker-fitted pick-up arms from below the sheet being worked; tilting the pick-up arms so as to place the suckers on the sheet to be picked up, which is arranged substantially vertically; picking up the sheet, starting to tilt it toward the cutting table during the scoring of the sheet; moving the scored sheet away from the cutting table; positioning the scoring head beyond the sheet supporting region, on the opposite side with respect to the pick-up region; and positioning the sheet on the cutting table.

A cutting table particularly for glass panes and the like, with cutting optimizing of the useful cutting dimensions, which comprises a frame forming cutting bed on which a cutting bridge is movable that supports a cutting head and can slide on guides fixed to the frame by means of sliding trucks provided with two mutually spaced upper wheels engageable with the upper part of the guides, a central upper wheel, which is arranged between the upper wheels, and at least two lower abutment elements, engageable with the lower part of the guides that are positioned on opposite sides with respect to the central upper wheel.
