Poker chip holder
Abstract
This device serves as a means to store poker chips as well as a receptacle
for use during the play of a game in which poker chips are used. The
device is constructed with five vertical cylindrical sections in which
poker chips are easily stacked and stored. The diameter of the
cylindrical sections is slightly larger than that of a poker chip. The
cylindrical sections that make up the assembly are in a line, attached
and adjacent one to the other. A small portion of each cylinder is cut
away to leave an open segment on the front of each cylinder and one on
the rear of each cylinder. The open segments of each cylinder are located
180.degree. from each other and wide enough to allow a thumb on one side
and a finger on the other to grasp one or more chips.

Claims
1. In such games in which individual players accumulate poker chips, this
invention, which stacks the chips vertically, can be an aid to keep them
in an orderly and convenient manner.
2. This device has open sections, both front and rear, at each stack of
chips. This allows the player to retrieve easily any number of chips with
just thumb and finger of one hand, as one would do normally in a
freestanding stack. This is not easily done with a horizontal stack or
with a device that has only one side with an open section.
3. Being vertically stacked, several of these holders can be assembled
together with a minimum of space and still give the freedom to retrieve
chips with ease. This cannot be accomplished with horizontal holders or
holders with only one open section.
Description
[0001] We, Raphael Montanari and Pio Colageo, have invented a new device
to hold and store poker chips as set forth in the following
specifications.
[0002] This device was originally created for the card game Qudo
(.COPYRGT. 2004 TXu1-172-218) and was deemed to be suitable for other
applications and other games.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0003] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the poker chip holder as viewed
from the top of the device. The cylindrical sections as shown in the
drawing are the receptors for vertically stacking the poker chips.
[0004] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the device as viewed from the
bottom. The view shows a rib in the center (any number of ribs are
optional) that gives some rigidity to the structure but serves no
function in the application of this invention.
[0005] FIG. 3 is a top elevation view of the poker chip holder.
[0006] FIG. 4 is the front and rear elevation view of the poker chip
holder.
[0007] FIG. 5 is the bottom elevation view of the poker chip holder
[0008] FIG. 6 is the left and right plan view of the poker chip holder.
