PAINT CAN WITH AN INTERNAL MOLDED LABEL
Abstract
The present invention provides an improved structure of a paint can with
internal molded label. The paint can includes a plastic can body in a
circular shape; a plastic bottom wall, integrally formed on the bottom of
the plastic can body; and a plastic bottom frame, integrally formed on
the bottom of the plastic can body and plastic bottom wall. There is a
cover, covering the top of the plastic can body, and an internal molded
label, integrated on the outside of the plastic can body through internal
molding. The bottom edge of the internal molded label extends to the
plastic bottom frame. In this way, an advancement of practicability is
achieved in that the internal molded label of the paint can becomes
smoother, and the quality of finished products is further improved.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0005]1. Field of the Invention
[0006]The present invention relates generally to a type of paint can, and
more particularly to an innovative paint can with an internal molded
label.
[0007]2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under
37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98
[0008]Traditional paint cans are usually made of metallic material. The
paint cans commonly seen in the market to contain emulsion paint or
cement paint are mostly made of plastic materials.
[0009]The outer surface of such plastic paint cans is usually covered with
a label for advertising and marking. However, as the outer surface area
of a paint can becomes larger and larger, such label-covering work is
inefficient. It is more and more difficult to meet the quality standards
pursued in terms of accuracy and durability.
[0010]Based on this, the industry developed a structure to form a label
integrally onto the plastic material during injection molding of the
paint can. However, during actual application of such prior art, it is
found that the edge of the label structure may easily become wrinkled due
to squeezing in the process of injection molding of the plastic
structure, causing insufficient flatness of the label surface and
consequently a high rates of irregular finished paint cans. Hence, such
prior art technology is really not an ideal product expected by the
industry.
[0011]Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it
would be an advancement in the art to provide an improved structure that
can significantly improve efficacy.
[0012]Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of
practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of
experience in the production, development and design of related products.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0013]The present invention achieves improved efficacy.
[0014]Through an innovative and unique invention, a bottom edge of the
internal molded label of the paint can extends to a plastic bottom frame.
The present invention improves upon the prior art because the surface of
the internal molded label of the paint can becomes smoother, and the
quality of finished products is further improved.
[0015]Although the invention has been explained in relation to its
preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible
modifications and variations can be made without departing from the
spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
[0016]FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the paint can of the present
invention.
[0017]FIG. 2 shows a sectional view of part of the structure of the paint
can of the present invention.
[0018]FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of a smooth bottom edge of the
internal molded label during injection molding of the plastic can body of
the present invention.
[0019]FIG. 4 shows another sectional view of an embodiment of the
configuration ofthe bottom edge of the internal molded label of the
present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0020]The features and the advantages of the present invention will be
more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following
detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention
with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0021]FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 are preferred embodiments of the improved
structure of the paint can with internal molded label. Such embodiments
are presented for descriptive purposes with respect to the claims.
[0022]The paint can A comprises a plastic can body 10 in a circular shape
which defines a can space 11, while the top of the plastic can body 10 is
formed with a circular protrusion 12 extending to the outside.
[0023]There is a plastic bottom wall 20, which is integrally formed on the
bottom of the plastic can body 10.
[0024]The paint can also includes a plastic bottom frame 30, which is
integrally formed on the bottom of the plastic can body 10 and plastic
bottom wall 20. The plastic bottom frame 30 and plastic can body 10 are
connected smoothly through the circular wall extending downward.
[0025]A cover 40 of the paint can A covers the top of the plastic can body
10.
[0026]An internal molded label 50 is integrated on the outside of the
plastic can body 10 through internal molding. The bottom edge 51 of the
internal molded label 50 extends to the plastic bottom frame 30.
[0027]The internal molded label 50 can be integrated on the whole area or
part of the area on the outside of the plastic can body 10.
[0028]As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the bottom edge 51 of the internal molded
label 50 can be extended to a position above the bottom of the plastic
bottom frame 30 with a height separation.
[0029]The above-described structures form the present invention. The
bottom edge 51 of the internal molded label 50 extends to the plastic
bottom frame 30. During injection molding of the paint can A (refer to
FIG. 3), when the internal molded label 50 is first placed in the
injection mold before injection molding of the plastic part, the
injection point is usually located at a position corresponding to the
plastic bottom wall 20. When the plastic material W1 flows from the
plastic bottom wall 20 to the plastic can body 10 and the plastic bottom
frame 30, the flow of the plastic material W1 will be divided into two,
one flowing upward to the plastic can body 10 (as marked W2 in the
figure), and the other flowing downward to the plastic bottom frame 30
(as marked W3 in the figure). During injection of the plastic material,
as the bottom edge 51 of the internal molded label 50 extends to the
plastic bottom frame 30, the plastic material W3 flowing downward to the
plastic bottom frame 30 will simultaneously smooth in the downward
direction the bottom edge 51 of the internal molded label 50.
[0030]Therein, as shown in FIG. 4, the bottom edge 51 of the internal
molded label 50 can also extend to the bottom of the plastic bottom frame
30.
